Dr. Saeed Bajwa is a prominent neurosurgeon based in Binghamton, New York who specializes in brain and spine surgery. After completing his MD studies at Nishtar Medical College of the University of Punjab in his hometown of Lahore, Pakistan, Dr. Saeed Bajwa progressed through his career to become a resident in General Surgery and Neurosurgery at the Lahore’s Combined Military Hospital. In 1980, he moved to the United States to pursue post-graduate training in General Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York and later obtained two years of Neurosurgical training at Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and two more years at the Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. By continuing his education, Dr. Bajwa has recently been certified to use the highly advanced MAZOR robotics, which allows extra sensitive surgeries to be achieved due to the increase in advanced machinery. In 2015, Dr. Bajwa has earned a certification for Endoscopic and Minimally Invasive Operations of the Lumbar and Thoracic Spine, after completing the required program at American Spine in Maryland, where numerous successful surgeries with this technique have already been performed. Today, he is licensed to practice medicine in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and California, and has medical residency in both the USA and Pakistan. Dr. Bajwa is a fellow for clinical research in Microneurosurgery, and sits on boards of significant community services groups, most notably the Think First Program, the Interfaith Organization of Southern Tier, NY, and the UHS Foundation. These organizations are dedicated to serving and providing healthcare to people with brain and spinal injuries.
Dr. Saeed Bajwa is a proud active member of diverse philanthropic committees that work towards advancing medical treatments across the world. He holds positions as Chairman of the Bylaws Committee within United Health Services, Co-President of AccuSite PET/CT Imaging Center, and is also the President of the CyberKnife Center of New York. He is honored to oversee the cutting-edge radiotherapy treatment of CyberKnife, which lowers exposure of radiation through unique treatment that helps cure tumors and other cancers in the Brain, Lung, Spine, and Liver. Over the course of his career, Dr. Saeed Bajwa has delivered over 100 lectures to community-based physicians on many topics of Neurology and Neurosurgery, and provides support to dozens of groups that offer physical, emotional, and mental recovery. Recently, he spoke up against American restrictions that were placed on donating to Pakistani welfare organizations and advanced healthcare, of which he is a firm supporter. As a result, Dr. Bajwa has developed a strong and respectable reputation as one of the most reliable and knowledgeable surgeons in his industry and in his philanthropic efforts.
